Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers is set to release its 10th studio album, I’m With You. The project was produced by Rick Rubin, who has produced the band’s previous five albums. I’m With You is the band’s first new album since the two-disc set, Stadium Arcadium, which debuted at No. 1 in 28 countries around the world, including the U.S. RHCP have sold over 60 million albums!
Red Hot Chili Peppers current line-up is singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who replaced longtime axeman John Frusciante in 2009.
Fans of Red Hot Chili Peppers were be able to get their first listen to the new album on Wednesday, August 24th via a series of live streams broadcast from listening events around the world. These Global Listening Parties took place in London, Toronto, New York, Tokyo, Sydney and Los Angeles, and were also broadcast live on the band’s website
In addition to the Global Listening Parties, I’m With You was also streamed in its entirety on iTunes that day.
The first single “The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie,” is already a multi-format hit but the album also has several other gems including “Factory of Faith,” “Brendan’s Death Song,” “Dance, Dance, Dance,” “Ethiopia,” “Did I let You Know” and “Even You Brutus.”
RHCP is touring the world now – U.S. dates are in the works for the New Year. Current shows included headlining at Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka on August 13th and in Tokyo on August 14th. They will also headline at the Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on September 24th.
The Peppers will showcase the entire record and selected greatest hits in a concert from Cologne, Germany, that will be broadcast to theaters worldwide on October 7th.
