Music Notes: Ozzy’s son has MS; Kiss Dad supports his daughter

Jack Osbourne diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; Gene Simmons shows Fathers day support to daughter auditioning for the X-Factor

Ozzy’s son Jack Osbourne tells People magazine he’s been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He learned about it right after his first child was born in April. The 26-year-old will treat the autoimmune disease with holistic therapies, daily drug treatments and lifestyle changes focused on reducing stress.
Jack got checked out after experiencing 60 percent vision loss in his right eye earlier this year.
Jack’s dad, Ozzy, said of the diagnosis, “If it was me, you’d think: ‘Ozzy had a reputation and it caught up with him,’ but Jack is such a good boy.” He also says he’s proud his son is not only clean and sober but helps others.

Gene Simmons really is a good Dad

When Kiss man Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie couldn’t make the Fathers day visit, he flew to see her in San Francisco. Seems Sophie was auditioning for a part on Simon Cowell’s new show the X Factor. Gene showed support by sitting in the audience but refrained from interfering with the jobs of Simon Cowell & Britney Spears. We’ll find out if she made the cut in September.
