Green Day are releasing a dance track, believe it or not. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong told Contact Music that bassist Mike Dirt asked him to write a song with a “four-on-the-floor rhythm.” Billie went on to explain, ”I’d never done it before. It’s kind of like [The Clash’s] ‘Sandinista!’” The track, which is titled “Kill the DJ,” will be released on one of the records in their trilogy of albums coming out later this year.
