Here’s a great idea for your snazzy new DSLR camera. Timelapse pics of the nightsky. You might even catch more than stars, planets and meteors, like maybe a ‘UFO’, like the production team of Sunchaser Productions.

The team spent the night in Death Valley, with freezing temperatures mind you, to capture the beauty of the nightsky during the Geminids meteor showers (Dec. 13, 2012) by using the timelapse technique. A picture shot every 5 seconds, then put together in a two minute video.

The ‘galactic palette’l, as they call it, is quite glorious indeed. Especially the part where a UFO flies through. Yep, a UFO, or something, does a couple round-a-bouts (about 1:30 into the film). While it looks to be fast, it’s actually moving extremely slow insofar as, it’s a timelapse video; 5 seconds is really 50 minutes. The team said they never heard or saw a thing.
Read the rest of their galactic filming explanations here.

Check it out, what do you think? Other than they have great taste in music tracking.
