Stevie Wonder to Play Songs in the Key of Life Album at His House Full of Toys Fundraiser

Image Courtesy of Eddie WolflHere’s a real treat for Stevie Wonder fans fortunate enough to attend his 19th annual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert.  The December 20 holiday show. taking place at The Forum in Inglewood, California, will feature a full performance of the Motown legend’s classic 1976 double album, Songs in the Key of Life.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale to the general public this Saturday, while pre-sale tickets will be available starting on Tuesday.

Anyone attending the event is encouraged to bring an unwrapped gift, which will be passed along to underprivileged children.  The House Full of Toys event benefits Wonder’s We Are You Foundation, which supports various local charities aiding in-need young people and families.

This year’s House Full of Toys show will come at the end of Stevie’s 11-date North American tour, showcased by a performance of Songs in the Key of Life at each stop.  The trek gets underway November 6 in New York City and runs through a December 5 concert in Oakland, California.

Songs in the Key of Life features such enduring Stevie compositions as the chart-topping “Sir Duke” and “I Wish,” as well as “Isn’t She Lovely,” “Pastime Paradise,” and “Love’s in Need of Love Today.”  The album hit #1 on the Billboard 200 and has gone on to sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. alone.
