Coldplay (via ABC News)If Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams truly is the band’s final album, then Chris Martin and company are certainly going out with a bang.

Martin has revealed that a recording of President Obama’s rendition of the gospel standard “Amazing Grace” will appear on A Head Full of Dreams, joining a star-studded album that includes everyone from Noel Gallagher and Beyonce — and Beyonce’s daughter — to Martin’s ex-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

President Obama sang “Amazing Grace” at the funeral for Rev. Clementa Pinckney, who was one of the nine people killed in the shooting at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina in June.

“We have a tiny clip of the president singing ‘Amazing Grace’ at that church,” Martin tells UK tabloid The Sun. “Because of the historical significance of what he did and also that that song being about, ‘I’m lost but now I’m found.'”

A source “close to the band” also tells The Sun that Coldplay had to receive special permission from the White House in order to include the recording on the album.

A Head Full of Dreams will be released December 4.
