Pearl Jam gives back to the earth after using so much in 2009 tour (all those diesel fuel semi-trucks and buses put out more than 5,000 metric tons of carbon emissions). They’re donating $210,000 to Cascade Land Conservancy to plant 33 acres of native trees and plants in Puget Sound (which will offset 7,000 metric tons of carbon)

The new live lineup for Gorillaz? None other than the very talented former members of the Clash, bassist Paul Simonon and guitarist Mick Jones (both guest on title track ‘Plastic Beach’). Remember Damon Albarn’s other excellent project a few years ago? The Good, the Bad and the Queen? Simonon was part of that outfit too.
