We’ve been hearing about bands suing small clubs for playing music without paying royalty fees (which is actually ASCAP/BMI and the record labels using the artists’ names that were played in clubs)…

Tables are turned as Pink Floyd filed massive lawsuit against EMI over royalies from digital online sales.
Floyd also claims EMI violated contract agreement — songs only to be sold in ‘original configuration of Pink Floyd albums’
EMI says contract applies to physical albums, not online sales
Looks to be a lengthy court battle.
