Congratulations Brit rockers Muse who will add the 2010 Nordoff-Robbins Silver Clef Award to their growing display case… The award honors musicians who raise money for charity. Muse was nominated last year but refused to accept, they felt they didn’t deserve it.

Also Muse and Myspace running a contest where grandprize winner will fly to band’s San Fran gig, go backstage and interview Muse. Details at Muse.mu

Lollapalooza 2010 lineup announced. As expected, first official concert of reunited Soundgarden, also headlining are Green Day, Lady Gaga (who performed as an unknown side-stage act at Lollapalooza a few years ago), Arcade Fire, Phoenix and The Strokes, (who have not played live in over four years).

Other notables Punk vets Social Distortion, Reggae great Jimmy Cliff and indie rockers MGMT. Devo, The Black Keys, Hot Chip, Spoon, The National, Cypress Hill, The New Pornographers, Erykah Badu and Wolfmother are among the many other artists on board.

More notable getting to know you acts AFI, Metric, Yeasayer, Slightly Stoopid, Gogol Bordello, Mavis Staples, Matt and Kim, The xx and Switchfoot, as well as up-and-comers like American Bang, Violent Soho and Mumford & Sons.

Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell will be spinning on the DJ stage this year.
