December 13, 2010 â€” New York, NY â€” Critically acclaimed singer and songwriterÂ Amos Lee will make several high-profile television appearances early in the new year to support his upcoming albumÂ Mission Bell, which will be released by Blue Note Records on January 25th. The Philadelphia-based singer and songwriter will appear on NBCâ€™sThe Tonight Show With Jay Leno on January 26th, CBSâ€™sÂ The Early Show on February 18th, and on PBSâ€™sÂ Tavis Smiley (airdate TBA).
The first single fromÂ Mission Bell,Â Leeâ€™s fourth album for EMIâ€™s Blue Note Records, is â€œWindows Are Rolled Down,â€ which was released digitally on November 22nd and continues to move up the AAA charts, currently sitting at #22 with more than 60 stations already playing the track after just 3 weeks.
Produced by Calexicoâ€™s Joey Burns,Â Mission Bell isÂ Leeâ€™s richest and most fully formed recording to date, displaying an array of emotions unified by his eclectic taste and distinctive vocals. Lee was recently featured on WXPNâ€™s â€œFree At Noonâ€ performance at World CafÃ© in Philadelphia, which was webcast live by NPR Music. He also headlined WFUVâ€™s 6th Annual Holiday Cheer show and was a featured performer on Levon Helmâ€™s intimate Midnight Ramble concert series in Woodstock, NY.
