Legendary traditional Irish group The Chieftains will mark their 50th anniversary with the release of Voice of Ages (Hear/Concord) on Feb. 21st. The new album is produced by Paddy Moloney and T Bone Burnett and features a number of guest artists, including: Bon Iver, The Decemberists, Punch Brothers, The Secret Sisters, The Low Anthem, The Civil Wars, Pistol Annies, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Lisa Hannigan, Carlos Nunez, Paolo Nutini, and Imelda May. 

The Chieftains Tour kicks off Feb. 17 in Santa Barbara at the University of California and will culminate with a special 50th Anniversary St. Patrick’s Day show at New York’s Carnegie Hall March 17.

Winners of 6 Grammy Awards, The Chieftains are founder and leader Paddy Moloney, Matt Molloy, Seán Keane and Kevin Conneff. The band has recorded with major international artists like Sting, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, and Joni Mitchell, among others.
