Mumford & SonsÂ played at a state dinner at theÂ White HouseÂ on Wednesday night.Â NMEreports that the band was personally invited by British Prime MinisterÂ David CameronÂ to play the event, while PresidentÂ Barack ObamaÂ choseÂ John LegendÂ to perform. One thousand guests attended the dinner, which was held in honor of Cameronâ€™s visit to the U-S. Celebrities in attendance includedÂ Richard BransonÂ and golf champÂ Rory McIllroy. Mumford & Sons head down to Austin today for a performance atÂ South By SouthwestÂ on Saturday and for the premiere of their documentaryÂ Big Easy Railroad.
