Brandi Carlile Hangout Fest 2011

Brandi Carlile sings her heart out at Hangout Fest 2011

The very talented Brandi Carlile (singer-songwriter-guitarist) gives new single national debut on Jay Leno show, followed by a performance/interview session for American Express’ “he Drop: Brandi Carlile” at the Los Angeles GRAMMY Museum. Carlile will take questions and perform a selection of songs from her new studio album, Bear Creek, set for June 5 release by Columbia Records. For details on the event, please go to www.grammymuseum.org.

“That Wasn’t Me” (now available on iTunes http://www.smarturl.it/thatwasntme) is quickly climbing the Triple A radio chart. Carlile will perform “Raise Hell,” another track from Bear Creek, on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” also to air in June. She’ll perform at the NonCOMMvention in Philadelphia on May 18, at Noon ET. The special concert, which also features Willie Nelson and Norah Jones, will be broadcast/webcast live from the NPR Music Stage at World Café Live. For further details, visit http://xpn.org/non-comm-2012. Carlile will also be featured in an upcoming episode of NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

The pre-order for Bear Creek is underway. Fans who pre-order the album on the iTunes Store will receive an exclusive bonus track – a live version of “Raise Hell,” recorded at Bear Creek Studios, the rustic Seattle-area studio where she made the album – on release day, June 5. The CD and gatefold vinyl editions of Bear Creek can be pre-ordered at http://www.bluecollardistro.com/brandicarlile/categories.php?cPath=28, where a number of exclusive bundles are also available.

Bear Creek features Carlile’s longtime band mates, Tim and Phil Hanseroth (“The Twins”), Allison Miller and Josh Neumann plus Dave Palmer and Jeb Bows. Produced by Brandi and The Twins along with GRAMMY® winning engineer/producer/mixer Trina Shoemaker (Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Queens of the Stone Age), it’s an earthy collection that embraces all of her musical influences – folk, pop, country, rock, gospel and blues. Carlile talks about the inspiration for one of the more country-leaning tracks, “Hard Way Home,” and performs the song live with her band at Bear Creek Studios in this clip, which recently premiered on AOL Music, Spinner and The Boot:
