The World Vision Organizationâ€™s 40 Hour Famine campaign to end world hunger got a huge boost for their annual fundraiser. Gotye donated his song â€œEyes Wide Openâ€ for use in their commercials promoting the New Zealand event. Participants raise money by agreeing to give up something they love, which is usually food, for 40 hours. The organizers hope to raise millions thanks to Gotyeâ€™s generous donation.
