“A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, but diamonds are a girl’s best friend”
Adele’s 21 officially passed the 10 million sales mark according to Nielsen SoundScan, Which means the girl gets the prestigious Diamond Award (now there’s a nice heirloom to pass down to her son!). Ironically, it’s the 21st album to sell 10 million copies since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. The album hit the mark on its 93rd week on the chart. The only two albums to sell 10 million copies quicker are ’NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, which did it in 43 weeks and Backstreet Boys’ Millennium, which sold 10 million copies in just 39 weeks.
