Catch The Neville Brothers on the November 4th episode of HBO’s acclaimed series Treme! The episode, directed by Tim Robbins, takes place as preparations are being made for Mardi Gras in 2008 with The Neville Brothers performing at the Washington DC Mardi Gras Ball. This is the Brothers first performance on Treme!
Treme! had many fine, very talented musicians take part in the stories that followed Katrina. Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Galactic, Allen Toussaint just to name a few. So it always makes good fodder when someone who’s been on the show comes in the studio. Below are a few interviews that contain Treme! conversations.
Justin Townes Earle talked about working with his dad, Steve Earle, in one of the first episodes of Treme. He was also surprised to act next to star John Goodman.
Trombone Shorty also chatted about his parts on the show and how it’s harder than it looks acting on a show like that.
And Anders Osborne who came in with Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars) also talked about the show. We speculated one of the story lines might have been inspired by his relationship with Theresa Anderson.
