RSA Tower Lights go Orange for Hunger Action Month

Mayor Sam Jones issued a proclamation stating September is Hunger Action Month for the city of Mobile. Bay Area Food Bank is part of a national movement through Feeding America to raise awareness and take action to help the 49 million Americans struggling with hunger.

Bay Area Food Bank is working to engage our community to take action and speak out about the issue of domestic hunger. To carry out this month-long initiative, the food bank has put together a 30 Ways in 30 Days calendar which provides participants with creative ways to advocate, donate and volunteer in our community throughout September.

The 30 Ways in 30 Days calendar includes opportunities from social media initiatives to events with local businesses and restaurants, family activity suggestions and ways to volunteer and support the work Bay Area Food Bank does every day. View the 30 Ways in 30 Days calendar by visiting Bay Area Food Bank’s website, www.bayareafoodbank.org.

Bay Area Food Bank will also have information tables in front of the Mobile Art Council and Lunatix & Co. during Friday’s LODA Artwalk.
