Gregg Allman biopic? Kravitz drops out of Marvin Gaye movie. #SlashBird.   Plus today’s Music History / Birthdays

Allman Brothers – One Way Out
It’s rumored a movie in the works based on Gregg Allman’s autobiography My Cross to Bear. Allman did not confirm or deny the rumors, but simply said “I’m the kind of person that doesn’t speak about things until they’re in the bag, you know?”  My Cross to Bear is on sale now if you’re seeking some good reading material for the beach. Lenny Kravitz – Always on the Run (featuring Slash)

Musician and sometimes interior decorator/actor Lenny Kravitz was slated to play Marvin Gaye in the biopic Sexual Healing, however, word is he dropped out as the star with no reason given. Law & Order star Jesse Martin will take his place as the legendary Motown singer. The highly anticipated film’s director is Julien Temple, who was originally at the helm of Spiderman on Broadway.

Slash is apparently a huge fan of the Angry Birds games and when the makers found out, of course they’d ask him to participate in the new series. So Slash agreed and tweeted with the hashtag #slashbird. No word on what his participation will be, but the new series is Angry Birds in Space. (via VH1)
