Someone asked for my recommendations of #HangoutFest must see’s, so I thought I’d share the response with everyone.

Imagine Dragons for sure, lots of drums and energy

Delta Rae sends chills down the backbone (Rolling Stone’s been raving about DR’s live shows for a while)

Wild Feathers (they rock and they’re hot!)

Stevie Wonder (I know peeps think he’s old, but after seeing him at Bonnaroo not expecting much, WOW, one of the best shows I’ve seen in my life)

Lissie is gaining in musical circles, bluesy tech rap

Kings of Leon might bring it this time, but I thought they ‘phoned it in’ when they opened for Stevie at Bonnaroo (plus we just saw Michael Franti)

Shovels & Rope everyone here’s been talking about, but I’ve not yet seen them.

Black Crowes I’m not sure about this time, they’re new album isn’t near as good as the last few with Luther Dickinson

Brassft Punk – I’m curious about, basically Daft Punk with NOLA horns

Galactic’s always fun, especially now with the frontman of Living Color

Passion Pit I think I saw before, or was it Dispatch… nonetheless they are on Sony Columbia and the last few years that label’s been releasing some amazing sounds)

Slightly Stoopid is very reggae/ska/dance and recently released a cover album… Michael Jackson’s Thriller! mwa ha ha ha ha

Grouplove I’ve heard are astounding live

Jim James, well personally, I’m curious how he brings the solo stuff to the stage
