Los Angeles quintent Milo Greene, reportedly got standing ovations while touring with the Civil Wars and earned ‘new artist to watch’ accolades from the likes of Esquire magazine. But don’t ask which one is Milo because in the vein of Remy Zero and the Freddy Jones band, no one is. Robbie Arnett tells NPR he and college mate Andrew Heringer created the character Milo Greene as a booking agent, so they would sound more professional to get gigs. The charade worked as they got more and more bookings into better venues. Later on down the road, Arnett and Heringer would come together with three others to create a new band, they decided to name in honor of their ‘booking agent.’ Milo Greene is comprised of Robbie Arnett, Graham Fink, Andrew Heringer, and Marlana Sheetz who all handle lead vocals and all play various instruments, switching around during their performances. Providing percussion and beats is Curtis Marrera.
