Empty PocketsChicago band Empty Pockets this Saturday night. Empty Pockets deliver “handcrafted indie rock and roll music with genuine hooks, honest lyrics and carefully crafted songwriting.” The band, together since 2006, has already released one catchy album that caught the ears of Nickelodeon music supervisors. They liked it so much, they’ve used the entire album in different shows: ICarley, Zoey 101, Drake & Josh. We’ve heard stories they sometimes will come out in 60′s dress playing Buddy Holly songs! But that’s no wonder when their focus is “driving rockabilly grooves thick with rhythm and blues and thoughtful melodies and harmonies in classic pop song structures.” |
Brandon & LeahCalifornia’s Brandon & Leah, serve up slices of life with pineapples and hibiscus flowers. Chillin’ by the beachside campfire comes to mind when listening. Mind you, these are no strangers to the SoCal music industry, Brandon Jenner is son of Olympiad Bruce and Leah Felder’s dad played in the Eagles. And yes, surfing, singing, bonfires, that’s their bag. They recently signed with ATO Records. |
