Benefitting Camp Rap-a-Hope
5K race – 8am Spanish Fort, Downtown Mobile
Fun Run – 9am Spanish Fort, Downtown Mobile
Mobile, Alabama – This Thanksgiving Day, residents of Mobile and Baldwin County can feel good about reaching for that extra piece of pie. The 2012 Turkey Trot for Hope & Gobble Wobble Fun Run gives them a chance to burn a few extra calories before their holiday meal and to give back to a wonderful cause, Camp Rap-A-Hope.
For over 25 years, Camp Rap-A-Hope has been providing “Fun for Kids with Cancer”. Serving Gulf Coast children who have or have had cancer, Camp is a week of fun, friends and excitement where the focus is on just being a kid, not being a cancer patient. This amazing camp experience is provided at no cost to participants or their families and is fully supported by fundraising efforts and volunteers.
The Turkey Trot for Hope is one of the ways that a week at camp is possible. This Thanksgiving Day 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held on Thursday, November 22nd and all proceeds go directly to support Camp Rap-A-Hope. The 5k race will kick off at 8:00am near Spanish Plaza in downtown Mobile and the fun run will follow at 9:00am in the same location.
Early registration is available online at www.camprapahope.org or www.active.com and In person registration is available at McCoy Outdoor in Mobile, Run-N-Tri in Mobile or at Running Wild in Fairhope.
