Dave Matthews Band took a year off from the road, returned for an outstanding performance at Hangout Festival, then returned to the studio with their old friend,  producer/engineer Steve Lillywhite to record ‘Away from the Sun’. The title comes from a line in one of the songs and it takes on a larger meaning looking at the album as a whole.
