Music fans young and old staked their claim in front of What Stage early in the day for Sir Paul. Gauging the reaction, not one person regretted it.

So many Bonnaroovians posting videos with ‘best show ever’ comments. And no wonder. Nearly three hours, 38 songs mostly Beatles and three encores by an original Beatles composer! Hearing The Beatles’ truly timeless music with today’s sound technology, at least eighty thousand people of all ages singing and screaming, and a raucously rocking band,  is a profoundly unique experience. Beatles songs never before played live found their way into the set for this tour.
The most memorable part, ‘Live and Let Die’.

At least ten terribly tall flash pots and fireworks blew from the stage,  fireballs rolled to the rhythm behind the band, and fireworks. Everything synced with the music in some way.

Yep, full on show. It’s what artists do at Bonnaroo, Hangout Fest and others of their nature (Suwanee, Burning Man, Coachella). Add the energy of all real music lovers and shows go to another level. On that note, here’s some videos. More memories and setlist to follow.

Another ‘jammin’ girl cam’. I can never stand still and my diminutive self uses the camera display to see the show. So I recorded where I was looking. But still, u get the idea how the vastness of the stage. Just as entertaining for those in back as the folks up front.  I can just hear Bob Saget saying: ‘look at that couple, they don’t even know there’s big fireworks.’

Helter Skelter was a real modern-rocker.

The song intro, ‘Wow, you guys are ready to rock all night aren’t you? Okay then.’ He was just as excited and pleased with the crowd as they were with him.

Macca also shared a story about one of his idols, Jimi Hendrix. The Beatles released the highly-anticipated Sgt. Pepper’s on Friday. On Sunday Hendrix was covering the tunes at a show, pretty damn good too. Then his guitar went a little whack, ‘Eric, can you come tune my guitar? Eric, anyone see Eric?’

‘Eric Clapton was also in the audience.’ He concluded by saying ‘well, it’s a great memory for me anyway’.

Yes Sir Paul, your show is a great memory for us too.
