The Cure frontman’s collaboration with the pop star, “what’s wrong with me,” has entered the Billboard Hot 100 at #17, marking Smith’s debut on the all-genre chart as a solo artist.

While this marks the first time Smith has charted on the Hot 100 under his own name, The Cure has notched 14 entries on the ranking. They peaked at #2 in 1989 with the Disintegration single “Lovesong.”

“What’s wrong with me” marks Smith’s second-highest charting hit overall, falling in between “Lovesong” and The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love,” which peaked at #18 in 1992.

“What’s wrong with me” appears on Rodrigo’s new album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which also includes a song literally called “the cure.” It follows Rodrigo’s live collaboration with Smith at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival.

While Rodrigo is obviously a big fan of Smith and The Cure, they won’t be performing at her newly announced Daisy Chain Fields festival in August, which is made up of entirely women and female-fronted bands. It does include a number of seminal alternative bands, though, including Garbage, The Breeders and Bikini Kill.

The bands have announced a set of fall Cosmic De-Evolution Tour dates, starting Sept. 17 in Tinley Park, Illinois. The tour will hit New Orleans August 25th and cities in Michigan, Minnesota, Washington and more before wrapping Oct. 31 in Palm Desert, California.

Devo and The B-52s launched the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour in September 2025.

Devo is set to join Billy Idol for several dates of the It’s A Nice Day To … Tour Again tour, starting Aug. 7 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The next leg of their Mutate, Don’t Stagnate tour begins Aug. 25 in New Orleans. A complete list of shows can be found at clubdevo.com.

Despite wrapping a farewell tour back in January 2023, The B-52s have continued to perform live. Their next show is Wednesday in Berlin, Germany. A complete list of dates can e found at TheB52s.com.

BILLIE EILISH – HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR, which she co-directed with James Cameron, will be available to buy or rent online starting June 23. It was originally released in theaters on May 8.

At the movie’s LA premiere, Billie told ABC News of the film, “I just feel really, really grateful that it’s gonna exist forever, and I’ll get to watch this show and this tour that I loved so much, and made so many memories with them, forever.”

“I think that’s really magical for them to have and for me to have,” she continued. “It’s just a moment in time captured forever.”

The band has announced a new single called “Beaches in Tennessee,” which is set to premiere on July 10. In a teaser video posted to Facebook, you can hear frontman Matt Shultz sing, “I’m going back to those beaches in Tennessee.”

“Beaches in Tennessee” will follow Cage the Elephant’s 2024 album, Neon Pill. The record spawned singles in “Metaverse,” “Rainbow” and the title track, all of which hit #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart.

Cage the Elephant will play a show with The Strokes in July as part of the 2026 Milwaukee Summerfest, followed by a set at the Minnesota Yacht Club festival.

The three-minute video includes live footage from the trek, which saw the “Zombie” artist play the biggest American shows of his career at venues including New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

The film begins with someone offscreen telling Yungblud that the tour, which was first announced in October, had sold out in less than a minute.

“F****** hell,” Yungblud replies.

Yungblud’s tour supported his new, two-part album, Idols. He’ll play another run of U.S. dates starting in late July.

“It’s truly unbelievable how a kid from the middle of nowhere ended up here, getting to make records with my idols,” Kenny writes in a Facebook post. “I’m just so grateful.”

Hammond, meanwhile, is currently on tour with The Strokes in support of their upcoming album, Reality Awaits, due out July 24.

“I’m sick of myself/ I’m sick of this bulls***,” frontman Caleb Shomo sings in the chorus.

Shomo found himself dealing with some more BS relating to the song’s lyric video. After posting a teaser for the track Thursday, Shomo said that the clip was flagged for using AI.

“The artist we commissioned for this project assured us adamantly throughout the process that no AI was used to create this lyric video,” Shomo wrote in a Facebook post Thursday. “Unfortunately after a lot of red flags and conversations this morning, we now know for a fact that was not the case.”

Shomo added, “We have no interest in using AI or artists lying about using AI to try to translate the blood sweat and tears that were put into this album in any way shape or form.”

Instead of using that video, Shomo’s brother, Luke Shomo, built a new one from scratch, which you can watch on YouTube.

Pure Ecstasy, the follow-up to 2023’s The Surface, is due out Aug. 28. It also includes the previously released single “Free” and the title track.

Beartooth will launch a U.S. headlining tour in November.

The sophomore full-length effort from the “can’t slow down” outfit is due out Sept. 9. It’s the follow-up to their 2024 debut, DIVE.

“We made this during the best and worst year of our lives,” almost monday says of the upcoming record. “It’s the result of an honest life lived; the highs, the lows, the pain, and the joys are all there on this record.”

THANK GOD IT’S ALMOST MONDAY includes the previously released songs “enjoy the ride,” “skinny dip,” “no more regrets” and “leaving is easy.”

Almost monday is currently on tour with Young the Giant and Cold War Kids.

The Pearl Jam frontman recorded the track in collaboration with the organization Guitars Over Guns, which provides musical instruments and instruction to young people from vulnerable communities. 

Vedder debuted “Better Believe” alongside Guitars Over Guns students Thursday at the opening ceremony for the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago. Following the performance, the studio version officially debuted on digital outlets.

All of Vedder’s royalties will be donated to Guitars Over Guns.

The Fender Precision Bass guitar will be on loan from The Clash’s Paul Simonon, after having previously been on display at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Simonon infamously smashed the bass during a performance at New York’s Palladium on Sept. 20, 1979, with the photo taken by photographer Pennie Smith.

The guitar will be part of the museum’s Past Lives exhibit, which a press release notes will take museumgoers on a “journey through London’s history via chronological and thematic displays.”
