If you’ve spent any time in the Mobile music scene over the last several decades, chances are you’ve heard Quintin Berry play bass or at the very least, you’ve heard people talk about his unmistakable style of playing. Quintin isn’t just an incredible musician; he’s a true original. His groove, stage presence, and passion have earned him legendary status among musicians and music lovers alike.

Whether you know him from UgliStick, playing Monsoons, Brickyard, Soul Kitchen one of the other bands he’s played with over the years, or from his tours around the world, there’s one thing everyone can agree on: Quintin always brings the music to life. Even more importantly, he brings joy to the people around him. He’s the kind of person who always has a smile on his face, makes everyone feel welcome, and is always willing to lend a hand when someone needs it.

Now, Quintin needs us.

Quintin is preparing to undergo prostate surgery and will be unable to work for an estimated 3 to 6 months while he recovers. Like many career musicians, he does not have health insurance, and the financial burden of surgery, medical bills, medications, rent, groceries, and everyday living expenses is more than anyone should have to face alone.

If you know Quintin, you know he has never hesitated to help others. Last year, when Vern, Soul Kitchen’s longtime door guy, needed support, Quintin was one of the very first people to step up without hesitation. When it came time for the UgliStick reunion, he was also one of the first to say “yes.” That’s simply who he is a loyal friend, a generous spirit, and someone who has spent time giving back to the music community that he loves.

Now it’s our turn to give back.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help cover Quintin’s rent, food, medications, medical expenses, and everyday living costs while he focuses on healing instead of worrying about how he’ll pay his bills.

The record is due out Aug. 28. It marks the “Hold On” outfit’s third full-length effort and their first in over 10 years.

“There’s a double meaning to it,” frontwoman Brittany Howard says of the I Must Be Dreaming title. “It could be saying, ‘I must be dreaming, because the world is so f****** crazy right now.’ But it could also mean, ‘I must be dreaming, because the world is so incredibly beautiful.’ Both those things can be true at once.”

I Must Be Dreaming includes the previously released songs “Another Life” and “American Dream.” A third cut, titled “I Feel Hope Coming,” will premiere Friday.

Alabama Shakes released two albums, 2012’s Boys & Girls and 2015’s Sound & Color, before going on hiatus in 2018. They got back together at the end of 2024 for a surprise show before officially announcing their reunion.

Alabama Shakes will launch a U.S. tour July 24 in Tacoma, Washington.

The album, due out July 31, features Green Day classics — including “Basket Case,” “Longview” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends” — as well as live recordings and a brand new track called “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.”

The NIMRODS soundtrack also includes contributions from The Paradox, Ultra Q and actress Mckenna Grace, as well as the film’s fictional band, Analog Dogs.

In NIMRODS, three friends, played by Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman and Ryan Foust, embark on a road trip under the mistaken belief that their band, the aforementioned Analog Dogs, scored a gig opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The movie is said to be inspired by Green Day’s early van touring days.

The cast also includes Grace, Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Fred Armisen and Bobby Lee.

NIMRODS premieres in theaters on Aug. 14.

The Irish rockers announced they’re dropping a new single, “Street of Dreams,” on Tuesday at 12 p.m. ET. They also shared a snippet of the song, along with a clip of the accompanying music video.

U2 shot the video for “Street of Dreams” in Mexico City in June. They shared a clip of the shoot on Instagram and wrote in the caption that they “Hopped a bus in Mexico City, destination: Street of Dreams.” They also included what is likely a lyric from the song, “‘Justice an obsession, love is a procession down the street of dreams.'”

At the time of the video shoot, a press release announced that the song will appear on U2’s yet-to-be announced album, which is expected to be released later this year.

U2’s next album will be their first album of new material since 2017’s Songs of Experience. They did release two EPs with new material — Days of Ash and Easter Lily — in February and April, respectively.

The band will release KISS Destroys Anaheim ’76 on Aug. 21. It’s a recording of their Aug. 20, 1976, Anaheim Stadium show on their The Spirit Of ’76 Tour, aka the Destroyer Tour.

The show had KISS playing in front of over 42,000 fans, their largest audience to date. The recording, taken from the original multitrack tapes, features performances of such iconic KISS tracks as “Detroit Rock City,” “Strutter,” “Black Diamond,” “Rock and Roll All Nite” and more.

Members of the KISS Army are getting a bonus from the band. They can now access exclusive material in connection with the announcement, including soundbites from Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley sharing their memories of the show.

KISS Destroys Anaheim ’76 will be released in a variety of formats, including CD, two-LP black vinyl, two-LP picture disc, two-LP color vinyl and digitally. The band has also launched a new merch line in connection with the release.

“We’re trying to work with that, build a spaceship, do some new stuff with lasers that’s never been done before, and yeah, it will be a classic,” said frontman Matt Bellamy. “It’s going to be more in the space, sci-fi realm, which I think is cool for us.”

Bellamy adds that he hopes the spaceship will be able to fly, but says, “I don’t think it will.”

If the Muse spaceship does materialize, it will be for the band’s European tour, which kicks off in November. Muse will launch a U.S. tour in support of The Wow! Signal Thursday at the Milwaukee Summerfest.

Dinosaur Jr. will launch a U.S. tour with Band of Horses on July 10 in Kingston, New York. They’ll then kick off a fall headlining tour in October.

The track finds the “River” and “Hallucinogenics” artists harmonizing as they sing, “I’ll be yours forever.”

“Yours Forever” follows Briggs’ single “Blood from a Stone,” which dropped in May. Her most recent album is 2024’s Tell My Therapist I’m Fine.

Maeson, meanwhile, put out his latest album, A Quiet and Harmless Living, in 2025. It includes the single “Downstairs.”

The “Loser” artist has shared a new version of the song featuring musician Sierra Ferrell, who previously sang with Mumford & Sons on Saturday Night Live.

“I met Sierra five years ago on a dance floor in Nashville,” Beck writes in an Instagram post. “She taught an LA boy how to two step. Then she got on stage with the house band to sing a few tunes. A local leaned in my ear and said you gotta hear her sing, she’s the real deal. And she was.”

He continues, “Been a long while coming to sing together. I think it might’ve beat the original version of this tune.”

The original “Ride Lonesome” dropped in April, and follows Beck’s string of one-off singles over the last couple years, including “Thinking About You” and the Phoenix collaboration “Odyssey.” His most recent album is 2019’s Hyperspace.

Beck will launch his Ride Lonesome North American tour in September.

A press release describes “Hush” as “a last desperate grasp for connection between two souls in the midst of an apocalyptic event.”

The collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Goulding, who’s long been a Muse fan.

“Back around 2002 I remember spending hours making my Nokia ringtone the guitar riff on ‘Plug in Baby’ by Muse,” Goulding writes in an Instagram Story. “Today I have a song with [Muse]. I am insanely grateful for my life and my weird voice.”

The Wow! Signal also includes the singles “Be with You” and “Unravelling.”

Muse will launch a U.S. tour starting July 2 at the Milwaukee Summerfest.
