It seems that people are continuing to relieve themselves during the “Stick Season” artist’s concerts not in the proper facilities, but right there in their own seats. 

Back in June, after it was reported that someone had defecated in their seats during his show, Kahan posted, “If you have to go at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao.” Now, a month later, a fan reported that someone used a section at Citi Field as their own personal toilet to urinate into during Kahan’s show at the New York City stadium over the weekend.

During his show in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Kahan responded to the latest bodily waste incident as part of a bit in his song “Dial Drunk.”

While pretending to speak on a payphone, Kahan took a call from “Congress,” which informs him that “people have been peeing all over the floor at my shows, as well.”

“You guys are ordering by act of Congress that everyone has to wear diapers before they get in? Is that what we’ve come to?” Kahan continued. 

He concluded, “Alright, you heard Congress, f****** put some diapers on next time, y’all.”

For what it’s worth, Kahan does seem to have some sway when it comes to matters of legislation. He supported a bill to put a cap on ticket resale prices in his home state of Vermont that passed in May, and is also behind a similar bill proposal in Massachusetts.

Kahan is currently on tour in support of his new album, The Great Divide.

The R.E.M. frontman has just debuted a new song, “Hum Desiderata,” on the sound exhibition platform Joyfully Waiting.

According to the description, the song “combines Stipe’s recitation of the poem Desiderata by Max Ehrmann from his installation at ICA Milan” with an instrumental track by Stipe and Andy LeMaster. It also features additional vocals from artist Elizabeth Hatmaker.

The track is now streaming at joyfully-waiting.ch.

Stipe talked about his solo album during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in April, sharing that it is finally set to be released at the end of 2026. He also debuted a song from the record, “The Rest of Ever,” backed by the Colbert house band, Louis Cato and The Great Big Joy Machine.

Stipe also released the song “I Played the Fool,” which he recorded with producer Andrew Watt, in March. It’s the theme to the HBO series Rooster.

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced “Pumpkinpalooza” in celebration of the band’s upcoming headlining set at their hometown festival too. It’ll mark the first time the Pumpkins, which formed in Chicago, have headlined Lolla since it moved to the Windy City’s Grant Park in 2005.

“Pumpkinpalooza” will kick off with a sold-out underplay show Wednesday at Chicago’s Rivera Theatre. From Wednesday through Friday, fans can visit a Pumpkins pop-up shop offering exclusive merchandise, located at 900 S. Wabash Ave.

Lolla attendees can stop by Madame Zuzu’s Celestial Lounge, described as an expansion of frontman Billy Corgan’s Madame Zuzu’s teashop, which he runs in Highland Park, Illinois, with his wife, Chloé Mendel Corgan.

For even more Pumpkins festivities, you can visit the Chicago bar The Aviary to try its limited-edition specialty cocktail, Infinite Mellons, named after the band’s classic 1995 album, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

“As a Chicagoan, born and raised, I take great pride in contributing to our city’s immense and colorful cultural fabric,” Corgan says in a statement. “And so this year’s already historic Lollapalooza is that chance to make new memories, new friends, and have a bit of Midwest fun, too as only we might.”

Lollapalooza 2026 takes place Thursday through Sunday; the Pumpkins take the stage on Friday. The bill also includes Lorde, The xx, Turnstile, sombr, Empire of the Sun, Wet Leg, Yungblud, The Neighbourhood and beabadoobee.

In a new interview with Mojo, Collins shared his thoughts as he discussed the possibility of running into the Gallagher brothers at the event.

“The inductees have all been invited to a lunch before the ceremony,” he said. “Which will be interesting, as I’m sure to bump into Oasis.”

According to Mojo, the feud dates back to 1994, around the time Oasis released their debut album, Definitely Maybe. At the time, Noel Gallagher reportedly called Collins “the antichrist of music”; he went on to say other things about him over the course of his career.

In the Mojo interview, Collins claimed one of his daughters, actress Lily Collins, confronted Liam Gallagher about the comments backstage at Live Earth in 2007.

“She went up to him and said, ‘Why do you hate my dad?’” Collins told the mag. “And apparently Liam said, ‘I don’t hate anybody, love.’”

Seems Noel once revealed in an interview that his issues with Collins stemmed from Collins scaring him at a Genesis concert in the ’80s when Noel was “completely out of it.”

“Now I’ve thought this through, and although Noel didn’t specify what song it was, I reckon it was ‘Mama,’ where I go ‘Ha-ha-ha… Oww,’ with the light under my face,” Collins says of what could have scared Noel. “So I think ‘Mama’ is why Noel called me the antichrist.”

He added, “But I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt here, and assuming he doesn’t really think I’m the antichrist.”

Collins and Oasis will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Nov. 14 in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air on ABC

“The song, ‘If You Could Talk,’ and what it means to me is about having a family back home that you never get to see,” vocalist James Tuffs says in a statement. “It’s about what a conversation would sound like with your son if he knew how to talk, or whoever it may be. Everyone has something they are leaving behind when they hit the road, and this song is about all of those endless struggles that come with that.”

“If You Could Talk” is one of several new Dexter and the Moonrocks singles released in 2026, along with “Freakin’ Out,” “12 Steps” and “Flavorless.” “Freakin’ Out” currently sits at #1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart.

Dexter and the Moonrocks will be touring throughout the summer and fall, including playing a show with Shinedown.

“This younger generation makes me feel hopeful because they can see through all the political lies,” says frontwoman Brittany Howard in a statement. “That song’s about holding onto that hope, and refusing to give up.”

“I Feel Hope Coming” marks the third song to be released off I Must Be Dreaming, following “Another Life” and “American Dream.” The album will arrive in full on Aug. 28.

Alabama Shakes put out two albums, 2012’s Boys & Girls and 2015’s Sound & Color, before going on hiatus in 2018. They got back together at the end of 2024 for a surprise show before officially announcing their reunion.

Alabama Shakes will launch a U.S. tour July 24 in Tacoma, Washington.

The 15th studio effort from the “Loser” artist, and his first since 2019’s Hyperspace, is due out Sept. 18. It includes the previously released title track, which dropped in April. 

A second cut, titled “In the Night,” is out now alongside a video, which you can watch streaming on YouTube. Like the song “Ride Lonesome,” “In the Night” taps into Beck’s more acoustic-driven, folkier side.

Beck will hit the road on the Ride Lonesome North American tour Sept. 16 in Vancouver.
