• Here’s how you do it:
• Submit your 10 favorite “you” songs by emailing it in text form (no links please) to pablo at 92zew.net
• Playlists that suck will be rejected summarily.
• If selected, you’ll be notified at least 1 week in advance. You can choose to be in the ZEW Studio in person on your day or just chill and listen, totally up to you. Preference will be given to those who want to vibe in person. We want to chat and know WHY you picked these songs!
• Not all songs will be used. Songs should fit into the general realm of the 92ZEW scope of music. Alternative, Americana, Rock, Blues, local Gulf Coast artists, etc, and be in the current 92ZEW music library or available with clean radio edits. No Backstreet Boys or Celine Dion or Garth or 2 Chains, ya’ dig? 92ZEW will have or obtain the actual music files to be aired unless otherwise notified and have final discretion over all songs selected.

The trek will feature special guests Japanese Breakfast, Nation of Language and Jay Som on select dates. It begins July 10 in Minneapolis and wraps Aug. 7 in Paso Robles, California, and will include a two-night stand at The Greek in Los Angeles.

“One of my favorite parts of being in this band is getting to be out on the road with artists that inspire us,” says frontman Ben Gibbard. “Japanese Breakfast, Jay Som and Nation of Language have made some of our favorite albums in recent years and we’re stoked they’ll be joining us this summer.”

A ticket presale begins Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, with tickets going on sale to the general public Jan. 30 at 10 a.m. local time. A complete list of dates can be found at DeathCabForCutie.com.

The concert announcement coincides with the news that Death Cab for Cutie has signed with ANTI-Records for all future music releases.

An undisputed pillar of the greater Mobile community, part owner of four radio stations: 92.1 FM WZEW, 92.5 FM The Soul of Mobile, 96.5 The Crab and founder of the first 24 hour FM sports radio station in the country-WNSP 105.5 FM-Tim did so much for so many, working tirelessly to bring countless performers and bands to the Gulf Coast, and promoting their music. 

An original founder of the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores, AL and one of the brains behind Mobile’s inaugural, free Ten Sixty Five Music Festival in 2015, Tim Camp was a consummate sound engineer, avid
keyboard player, songwriter, father, brother, husband and friend.

Tim spent nearly 56 years in radio broadcasting and his lasting influence wil be sorely missed. A celebration of Tim’s life is forthcoming, date and time to be announced.
