Mobile Rundown – July 4 Edition
4th of July ( Thursday) –
7/4: City of Mobile 4th of July Celebration-
****NOT at the Battleship this year!****
Thursday, Downtown Mobile. Admission: Free. Ages: All
Get the evening started off by celebrating the birth of our country with tunes from the Mobile Pops, followed by one of the greatest fireworks shows around at Cooper Riverside Park! Gates open at 2PM.
GULF SHORES 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS- Thurs 9pm, Gulf State Park, Gulf Shores.
DAUPHIN ISLAND FIREWORKS- Thurs 9pm, Dauphin Island Public Beach.
FAIRHOPE’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION- Thurs 7pm (concert), 9pm (fireworks), Fairhope Pier.
Free concert by the Baldwin Pops in Henry George Park, followed by fireworks at 9pm.
DAPHNE’S 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION- Thurs 5pm-9pm, Trione Sports Complex, Whispering Pines Rd, Daphne. Fun begins at 5,with Waterslides, Inflatables, Games & FREE Concessions. Fireworks begin at dusk.
7/4 Mobile BayBears vs. Jacksonville 4th of July Fireworks
Thursday , Hank Aaron Stadium. Admission: $7+. Ages: All. The Bay Bears take on the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp followed by one of the cities best firework displays. Jacksonville is at The Hank till Tuesday: Monday is ‘Every Monday Matters,’ where you can receive free admission for bringing 2 used clothing items, 2 canned goods, or 2 books; then there’s $2 Taco Tuesdays with $4 Margaritas.
7/5 – 7/6: 36th Annual MBGFC Junior Angler Tournament
Friday – Saturday, Orange Beach Marina
Admission: $40 per angler Ages: All
Let the kids catch ‘em in the Mobile Big Game Fishing Club’s Junior Angler Tournament. Kick off the weekend with a cookout for anglers at 6 pm on Friday. The tournament officially begins at 7 pm Friday. Weigh-in is open from 4 pm – 7 pm on Saturday.
7/6: Market in the Park – Cathedral Square
Saturday – 7:30 am – Noon, Cathedral Square
The Summer Market in the Park at Cathedral Square is the best one-stop shop for local produce, baked goods, wares, and more! Bring the family out for a morning of fun and shopping in the heart of Downtown Mobile.
7/5 FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK- Fri 6pm-8pm, downtown Fairhope
Stroll through downtown Fairhope to see local artists and hear local musicians at various venues. Start your Art Walk at the Eastern Shore Art Center to see the latest exhibit.
FRIDAY AT THE FIREHOUSE- Fri 5:30pm-7pm, H.H. Edwards Station, Hillcrest Rd, Mobile. Friday At The Firehouse is an open-house-style evening of family fun! You will have the chance to tour the stations, explore the fire engines, and meet Mobile Fire-Rescue crews. There will also be coloring stations and kids games.
7/6: AFC Mobile vs. Pensacola FC
Saturday – 7 pm, Archbishop Lipscomb Athletic Complex
Admission: $10 Adults | Free for Children 12 and Under
Come out and support AFC Mobile, Mobile’s minor league soccer team! All games are at the Archbishop Lipscomb Athletic Complex. Tickets are $10 and kids 12 and under are admitted free.
