    10/17 – 10/19: Greek Fest

    Thursday – Saturday, 11 am – 10 pm, The Annunciation Greek Church
    Admission: $5 per day
    Ages: All
    Come out and enjoy this Christ-centric festival focused on exploring the rich history and culture of the Greek Orthodox Church. Greek Fest offers the finest Greek food on the Gulf Coast, and this year it is available for takeout as well! Immerse yourself in the Greek Fest experience with Greek shops, wine, play areas for kids, and of course, dancing! OPA!

     

    10/17: Grilled Cheese Meltdown

    Thursday – 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Cathedral Square
    Admission: $8 In Advance | $10 At the Gate | FREE Children 6 and Under
    Ages: All
    Teams will be competing to create the yummiest grilled cheese sandwich in the 3rd Annual Mobile Grilled Cheese Meltdown! Restaurant and non-restaurant categories, twenty teams, two types of sandwich categories, 40 delicious sandwiches to sample…Who will win the golden spatula? Come help us decide! Kids 6 and under are admitted for free. All proceeds go to support the Urban Emporium in Downtown Mobile. It is Mobile’s only non-profit retail incubator helping small businesses grow every day!

    10/4 – 10/31: Thriller Nights of Lights

    Runs Nightly – 7 pm – 10 pm, Hank Aaron Stadium
    Admission: $6 per person | 3 and Under Free
    Ages: All.Come and enjoy Thriller Nights of Lights at Hank Aaron Stadium. Look no further for family-friendly fun this Halloween season! This drive-thru light show is synchronized with music playing through your car radio. Displays of giant spiders, spooky eyes, friendly ghosts, and tumbling scarecrows are just a few of the displays you’ll see dancing to a fun variety of music. The only show of its kind in the country, Thriller Nights of Lights will thrill kids and adults of all ages.

     

    10/9: Catt’s Brown Bag in Bienville

    Wednesday (Bienville Square)  – Thursday (Mayday Park/Daphne) – Friday ( The Mill/Fairhope ). 11 am – 1 pm.
    Admission: Free. Ages: All. Fall weather may not be in the air quite yet, but you can still sit under the oak trees in Bienville Square and enjoy live music during your lunch break. This week’s featured artist is the Molly Thomas. Grab your lunch and find a spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine this Wednesday!

     

    10/19: GREATER GULF STATE FAIR COMMUNITY PANCAKE BREAKFAST- Sat 7am-11am, The Grounds, West Mobile

    Enjoy a pancake breakfast for only $2, with proceeds benefitting the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile. And there will be a qualifying round for the Fair’s Diaper Derby, to see who has the fastest baby! Want some PANCAKES and to do some good while chowing down? We sure do! Join the Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds for a Pancake Breakfast on October 19th from 7 am – 11 am. Tickets are $2 per person and all proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile. Want breakfast and a show? Stick around for the qualifying rounds of the GGSF Diaper Derby! Know a little guy or little gal who’s faster than the rest of the babies at daycare? One whose knees and legs do all the talking (but not walking)? Bring them with you, and have them compete with the best of the best! Preliminary and Final races will take place during the fair. Join the GGSF for a morning of Baby Racing, ticket giveaways, and fun while making an impact on The House That Love Built!

    Ages: All | Movie is Rated R
    Fall weather is finally in the air! Get out and enjoy an evening on the river at Cooper Riverside for a movie in the park! This week’s movie is The Equalizer 2. All ages are welcome, but please be advised this movie is rated R. Bring a blanket and snacks!

    10/18 – 10/26: Frankenstein

    Friday – Sunday, Playhouse in the Park
    Admission: $16 Adults | $14 Students
    Ages: All
    Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is the story of the scientist who animates a monstrous body. The results are disastrous, bringing woe to the monster Frankenstein and his loved ones.

    10/18 – 11/3: Macbeth

    Friday & Saturday – 7:30 pm | Sunday – 2 pm, Joe Jefferson Playhouse
    Admission: $20 Adults | $10 Students
    Ages: All
    When a prophecy is made that he will become the King of Scotland, Macbeth does whatever he needs to make sure the prophecy is fulfilled. See the drama that unfolds during his quest to become King.

    10/18: NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM- Fri 5pm-9pm, History Museum of Mobile, downtown.Admission is $5 per person. Activities include a historical scavenger hunt, storytelling, Halloween crafts & games, live music, and costume contests for all ages! Come dressed as your favorite person throughout history or in your Halloween costume!

    TRICK OR TROT 5K & FUN RUN- Fri 5pm-9pm, USA campus, Moulton Tower. Don’t miss this family-friendly race and Monster Mash after-party that offers something for everyone. Don’t forget your costume! Proceeds benefit the Pediatric Emergency Department at USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

    10/19: Fall Market in the Park

    Saturday – 7:30 am – 12 pm, Cathedral Square
    Admission: Free
    Ages: All
    Get out and enjoy the cooler weather at the Fall Market in the Park. It’s a fun-filled morning with live music, produce vendors, makers, bakers, crafters, and more!

     

    10/19: Tri the Gulf

    Saturday – 7:30 am, Isle Dauphine Club | Dauphin Island
    Admission: $90 and up
    Ages: All
    Brought to you by the Mobile Bar Foundation, Tri the Gulf is a sprint triathlon on Dauphin Island, AL consisting of a 600-yard Gulf swim, 16.7-mile island + bridge bike, and 3.25-mile island run (mostly off-road on a well-kept golf course). Grab your goggles and your bike and join the fun!

    10/20: Little Sisters of the Poor Lawn Party

    Sunday – 10 am – 4 pm, 1655 McGill Ave 36604
    Admission: Free
    Ages: All
    Join the Little Sisters of the Poor for their 48th Annual Lawn Party! Enjoy a full day of live music, a raffle with big prizes, delicious food, giant slides, petting zoo, homemade baked goods, and so much more. All proceeds go to benefit the Little Sisters of the Poor.

     

    10/20: OUT OF THE DARKNESS WALK- Sun 1pm-4pm, Daphne City Hall

    When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.
