White recently released two new singles, “Derecho Demonico” and “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs,” which he debuted live during a performance on Saturday Night Live. His most recent album is 2024’s No Name.

“We had a blast getting together recently at Iron Cross Studios with Jay Joyce to cut this cult @therollingstones classic,” the bands wrote in a post on Instagram. Joyce is the producer behind The Crowes’ last two albums, 2024’s Happiness Bastards and their recent release, A Pound of Feathers.

“See ya on the road this summer on The Southern Hospitality Tour,” they added.

“Star Star,” written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, appeared on The Rolling Stones’ 11th studio album, 1973’s Goats Head Soup.

“It’s a snapshot of what we’re living through in 2026,” frontwoman Brittany Howard says of the track. “I look around and wonder how we got to a place where there’s so much strain and so little support. I mean, it shouldn’t be impossible to take off work so you can bring your child to the doctor—that’s actually insane.”

She adds, “My hope is that one day people will hear this song and say, ‘’Yeah, s*** was crazy back then, but we made it through.'”

“American Dream” marks the second new track from Alabama Shakes since they reunited at the end of 2024 after a six-year hiatus. The first, “Another Life,” was released in 2025.

The most recent Alabama Shakes album is 2015’s Sound & Color.

Alabama Shakes will launch a U.S. tour April 16 in Richmond, Virginia

The headlining dates span from June 15 in Clarkston, Michigan, to Sept. 17 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The trek includes a date with Cage the Elephant on July 17 in Milwaukee.

I’ve checked and the closest show to the Zew is in ATL on September 19th.

Reality Awaits, the first Strokes album in six years, is due out June 26. The single “Going Shopping” is out now.

The Strokes just performed at Coachella on Saturday and will return to the festival for their second set on April 18. Their upcoming schedule also includes sets at festivals including Bonnaroo, Just Like Heaven and Shaky Knees.

The You Are The Reason tour will start in Mexico City on July 22 and is right now set to wrap up with a hometown show at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Nov. 23. “I can’t wait to see you. I love you all so much. Thanks for supporting me,” sombr wrote on his Instagram Story.

The closest show he has to Mobile is in Atlanta on Oct. 22.

There are multiple opening acts for the tour, which rotate depending on the date. They include Dove Cameron, Interpol, The Last Dinner Party, King Princess and Tom Odell, among others.

Meanwhile, the “back to friends” singer plans to drop a new single and video titled “Potential” at 6 p.m. ET on April 16. It’s the follow-up to his first 2026 release, “Homewrecker.”

Sombr made his Coachella debut on Saturday night, welcoming Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan to the stage to join him for a rendition of the Pumpkins classic “1979.”

Also getting into the Rock Hall this year are new wave pioneers Joy Division/New Order, British soul group Sade, the late R&B singer Luther Vandross and rappers Wu-Tang Clan.

This will be Collins’ second induction into the Hall of Fame; he was previously inducted in 2010 as a member of Genesis. Idol is getting in on his second nomination; he was previously nominated in 2025. Maiden and Oasis are getting in on their third nominations.

“Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor,” says John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony – it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

Being inducted as recipients of the Early Influence award this year will be late country-rock star Gram Parsons, rappers Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, the late Cuban singer Celia Cruz and late Afrobeat artist Fela Kuti. Musical Excellence inductees include producers Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller and Rick Rubin, with the late Ed Sullivan being honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The 2026 nominees who didn’t get in this year are The Black Crowes, INXS, Mariah Carey, Pink, New Edition, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, Shakira and the late Jeff Buckley.

Jack White was the musical guest, officially joining SNL’s musical guestFive-Timers Club as solo artist, while making his sixth appearance overall; he’d also performed with The White Stripes in 2002. Meanwhile, the similarly named Jack Black hosted the episode, which marked his induction into the Five-Timers Club as a host.

In Black’s opening monologue, the Tenacious D frontman was brought into the Five-Timers Club lounge, which had fallen into a state of disrepair. Black then declared he was going to fix the lounge by “singing the most rocking song,” before launching into the Stripes’ signature hit “Seven Nation Army,” as White joined in on guitar.

“We’ll be White Black!” Black quipped as the monologue ended.

White later returned to stage for the live debut of his two new singles, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico.” The songs, which dropped Friday, mark White’s first new material since his 2024 album, No Name.

White also appeared in a sketch called “Words to Live By,” in which Black and cast members Andrew Dismukes and James Austin Johnson sang a country song about being told something important and significant, but they can’t remember exactly what they were told. It’s basically like how Tenacious D’s “Tribute” doesn’t sound anything like the greatest song in the world — it’s just a tribute.

White showed up towards the end of the sketch to perform a guitar solo, but in keeping with the theme of the song, he couldn’t remember how it went.
