The extended tour marks the 10th anniversary of Mt. Joy. The group debuted back in 2016 with their breakout single Astrovan, and they are using this milestone to look back on the journey. In a Facebook post the band shared, “ten years since we first jammed into a rehearsal space [drummer Sotiris Eliopoulos] had locked out to practice drums… not much has changed to be honest, we just keep pushing to make music we love for anyone kind enough to care. Now we just do it in iconic venues to the best fans in the world. It is party time.”

Presales for the newly added dates are open now, with tickets for the general public going on sale Friday. Fans can find the full list of cities and ticket information at MtJoyBand.com.

Mt. Joy released their latest album Hope We Have Fun in May. The record includes their new single Lucy, which has already become a fan favorite.

The first preview from the album, a seven-minute track called A Plea, is out now. Flea performs trumpet, electric bass and vocals alongside an ensemble of jazz instrumentalists and vocalists.

Flea describes A Plea as “a yearning for a place beyond, a place of love, for me to speak my mind and be myself.” He adds, “I’m always just trying to be myself. I don’t care about the act of politics. I think there is a much more transcendent place above it where there’s discourse to be had that can actually help humanity, and actually help us all to live harmoniously and productively in a way that’s healthy for the world. There’s a place where we meet, and it’s love.”

Flea’s most recent Red Hot Chili Peppers album was Return of the Dream Canteen in 2022, which followed Unlimited Love earlier that year.

The affected shows, originally scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Copenhagen, have been rescheduled to December 15 and 16. Tickets previously purchased will be honored for the new dates, and refunds are available for anyone unable to attend.

Other Copenhagen shows on Thursday and Friday remain on schedule, and the tour will conclude with four dates in Berlin beginning December 8. Radiohead says treatment is underway and they are hopeful Thom will recover in time for the remaining Copenhagen and Berlin shows.

This tour, which launched in November, marks Radiohead’s first live performances since 2018. The band expressed gratitude for fans, saying, “We have been so blown away by the audience reactions on these dates and are loving being back on stage again. Needless to say, we feel terrible that we have been forced to postpone these shows.”
