The “Loser” artist has shared a new version of the song featuring musician Sierra Ferrell, who previously sang with Mumford & Sons on Saturday Night Live.

“I met Sierra five years ago on a dance floor in Nashville,” Beck writes in an Instagram post. “She taught an LA boy how to two step. Then she got on stage with the house band to sing a few tunes. A local leaned in my ear and said you gotta hear her sing, she’s the real deal. And she was.”

He continues, “Been a long while coming to sing together. I think it might’ve beat the original version of this tune.”

The original “Ride Lonesome” dropped in April, and follows Beck’s string of one-off singles over the last couple years, including “Thinking About You” and the Phoenix collaboration “Odyssey.” His most recent album is 2019’s Hyperspace.

Beck will launch his Ride Lonesome North American tour in September.

A press release describes “Hush” as “a last desperate grasp for connection between two souls in the midst of an apocalyptic event.”

The collaboration marks a full-circle moment for Goulding, who’s long been a Muse fan.

“Back around 2002 I remember spending hours making my Nokia ringtone the guitar riff on ‘Plug in Baby’ by Muse,” Goulding writes in an Instagram Story. “Today I have a song with [Muse]. I am insanely grateful for my life and my weird voice.”

The Wow! Signal also includes the singles “Be with You” and “Unravelling.”

Muse will launch a U.S. tour starting July 2 at the Milwaukee Summerfest.

On Instagram, he writes that he hopes the song, called “My Body Isn’t Ready,” “can mean different things to different people.” He explains, “It can be taken as a metaphor. Or it can be taken literally as a description of how I have perceived my own body, for my whole life.”

“I wanted to write about my struggle so that other people who may also be struggling know that they are not alone,” he adds. “You are beautiful, and I love you.” He also shouts out Obsession star Inde Navarrette and Off Campus actor Josh Heuston for “shining” in the music video.

In the song, he sings, “I like you, but my body isn’t ready/ I want you, but the mirror won’t let me/ I try to be the person you’re expecting/ But I’m not ready, I’m not ready.”

In the video, a goth-looking sombr sticks out like a sore thumb after showing up to a day party at a fancy LA mansion filled with fabulous guests. When a magician doing card tricks shows him a card that reads, “You don’t belong here,” a crowd of people — including Josh, who plays a pretentious sculptor — laugh at him. But Inde, another party guest who’s been watching him from afar, seems intrigued by him.

A depressed somber then covers his entire body in papier-mâché until he resembles a sculpture. He gets picked up and loaded into a limo with Inde and a group of other people, but when he’s thrown out of the car, she gets out too and removes the papier-mâché. The two then spend a romantic evening together.

The fourth studio effort from the “Beaches” artist is due out Sept. 18. It’s the follow-up to 2024’s This Is How Tomorrow Moves.

The first single off Pylon is called “Sun Has Set” and is accompanied by a video on YouTube. The record also includes contributions from Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Turnstile’s Brendan Yates and Deftones’ Chino Moreno.

Along with the album, beabadoobee has announced a U.S. headlining tour, running from Oct. 1 in Uncasville, Connecticut, to Oct. 29 in Seattle. The trek includes a date at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 5.

The first preview from the album, a seven-minute track called A Plea, is out now. Flea performs trumpet, electric bass and vocals alongside an ensemble of jazz instrumentalists and vocalists.

Flea describes A Plea as “a yearning for a place beyond, a place of love, for me to speak my mind and be myself.” He adds, “I’m always just trying to be myself. I don’t care about the act of politics. I think there is a much more transcendent place above it where there’s discourse to be had that can actually help humanity, and actually help us all to live harmoniously and productively in a way that’s healthy for the world. There’s a place where we meet, and it’s love.”

The video for A Plea, directed by Flea’s daughter Clara Balzary, is streaming now on YouTube. (Watch here)

Flea’s most recent Red Hot Chili Peppers album was Return of the Dream Canteen in 2022, which followed Unlimited Love earlier that year.
