Tony has been in the Mobile area since 2000 when he moved down South to pursue a career in not getting arrested in Reno. He had lived in NV for about 7 years, having moved there from his home state of Wisconsin. Born in Green Bay and raised in a small town in the Northern part of the state he knew from a young age that whatever life had in store for him it wasn’t going to be relegated to small town Wisconsin. Upon arriving in Tony took a job offshore, making his way from deckhand to engineer and then to Captain of a supply boat in the Gulf of Mexico.
After incurring a serious injury in 2004, he left the oil field behind and tried his hand at a few lower impact jobs, including car salesman, loan closings and in 2006, board operator for locally owned and operated 92ZEW. Clint hired Tony to put the commercials in the Alabama games but he quickly started to branch out to producing shows on sister station WNSP and on-site engineering (following Lee Shirvanian around and eating free food). Finally, Tim let Tony, probably to just shut him up and get him out of his office, start doing a late night show of new music on the ZEW, that you now know as 92NEW. 18 years, 2 kids, 2 nervous breakdowns later, Tony now hosts the Morning Zew. “This town adopted me and just like the radio station, I love it and I ain’t ever leavin’
