DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME starts this weekend! REMEMBER to Spring Forward– set clocks ahead 1 hour when you go to bed Saturday night.

 FRIDAY:

FOLEY BBQ & BLUES COOK-OFF- Fri 5pm-9pm Kickoff; Sat 10am-4pm Cook-off, Heritage Park, Foley. Friday’s kickoff features American Idol Taylor Hicks in concert. On Saturday, festivalgoers can enjoy a mouthwatering variety of barbecue samples while soaking in the sounds of live blues bands performing throughout the day. Also, kid friendly activities Saturday.

25th ROBERTSDALE ROTARY PCA CHAMPIONSHIP RODEO- Fri/Sat 5:30pm Gates open; 7:30pm Rodeo; Baldwin County Coliseum, Robertsdale.This two-day spectacular promises heart-pounding entertainment for the entire family. Full rodeo, concessions, petting zoo, tractors, lawnmowers on display, vendors and face painting. Benefits the Robertsdale Rotary Club.

DANCING WITH THE STARS LIVE Fri/Sat 8pm, Beau Rivage Theatre Biloxi.This year’s all-new stage show will feature your favorite professional dancers from the hit television series performing glittering new numbers as well as some of the unbelievable showstoppers featured on TV.

 SATURDAY: 

GULF COAST DIABETES WALK FOR CAMP SEALE HARRIS- Sat 10am-12noon, Downtown OWA, OWA Parks & Resort, Foley.This family-friendly walk/run unites local friends, families, and supporters to raise awareness for Type 1 diabetes while directly benefiting Camp Seale Harris, a leading organization dedicated to supporting children with diabetes. 

GATOR FUN RUN & 5K- Sat 7am-Noon, Steele Creek. 368 Juniper Ave. Satsuma. Certified 5K course and then family fun run though the neighborhoods of Satsuma. 

McGUIRE’S ST PATRICK’S DAY PREDICTION 5K RUN– Sat 9am, McGuire’s Irish Pub, Downtown Pensacola.The McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Run is the Largest 5k Prediction Run in America! Each runner/walker predicts how long it will take them to complete the 3.1 mile course. the finishers who come closest to the time predicted on their registration form wins. 

DAUPHIN ISLAND KITE FEST- Sat 11am-1pm, East End of Dauphin Island.See professional kite demos at 11am & kite competitions at 12noon. Live music, food trucks.

ORANGE BEACH FESTIVAL OF ART- Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 10am-4pm, Coastal Arts Center, Orange Beach. For more than 50 years, the Festival of Art has marked the arrival of spring on the island, celebrating visual, literary, performing, musical, and culinary arts. This fine arts festival is free to attend, featuring live music and entertainment on two stages.

FREE FIRST SUNDAY – Sun 1pm-5pm, History Museum of Mobile, Downtown Mobile.Visit any time from 1 – 5 p.m. and enjoy free admission into the History Museum of Mobile and Colonial Fort Conde! On view: Painted Pages: Illuminated Manuscripts, 13th – 18th Centuries.

MOBILE COUNTY’S BAYFRONT PARK COMMUNITY CELEBRATION- Sun 2pm-4pm, Bayfront Park, Dauphin Island Parkway, Coden.The free community celebration will include a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, music, face painting and other activities, plus free goody bags and food while supplies last. Check out the new pocket beach, playground, pavilions, walking paths and more!
