GULF COAST CHINESE LANTERN FESTIVAL- Thurs-Sun 5pm-10pm, Apr 17-Jun 15, Open Easter and Memorial Day, Bellingrath Gardens, Theodore.During this Spring night-time event, the Gardens will be transformed into a dazzling showcase of light, color, and culture. As evening falls, the estate will become a radiant dreamscape featuring 41 towering, handcrafted light sculptures, each glowing with vivid hues and artistic displays.

The estate will become a radiant dreamscape featuring 41 towering, handcrafted light sculptures, each glowing with vivid hues and artistic detail. Visitors will journey through the estate, where each glowing display tells a story through plants, animals, and fantastical creatures, blending ancient tradition with modern innovation.

US FLAG LOWERING CEREMONY- Mon 7am, USS Alabama Battleship Park, Mobile.Join us as we pause to remember those Americans who have given their all for our country and those veterans who have now left us. There will be a flag lowering ceremony at Vietnam Memorial. The ceremony is open to the public and free to attend.
MEMORIAL DAY FLAG RELAY- Mon 11am, USS Alabama Battleship Park, Mobile.USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park is proud to be the last stop for the Memorial Day Flag Relay. The relay will begin in West Mobile and end on the USS Alabama. Two Flag Carriers will carry the American Flag and POW/MIA flag for 1 mile along the 25-mile route.
MAIN STREET BEATS & MEMORIAL DAY FIREWORKS- Mon 6pm-9pm, with fireworks at 8:45, The Wharf, Orange Beach.Main Street Beats will kick off the summer on Memorial day, and continue each Monday as part of the Wharf Summer Nights series. There will be a variety of kids activities including a bubble & glow bubble truck, face painting, the reptile bus and more. The special Memorial Day fireworks show will snap, crackle and pop to the beat of a summer-themed musical element at 8:45 p.m. with the SPECTRA Laser Light Experience to immediately follow.
