Mike Patton is back, and this time, he’s teamed up with The Avett Brothers for a genre-bending project called AVTT/PTTN. Their latest release, “Heaven’s Breath,” just dropped, and it’s a heavier, more intense follow-up to their debut single “Eternal Love.”

Patton describes “Heaven’s Breath” as offering a “bit heavier taste” of what fans can expect from the full album. The self-titled AVTT/PTTN album arrives November 14.
This marks the second track to surface from the record and it’s quickly raising eyebrows across both rock and folk communities.
In the meantime, Patton won’t be slowing down. He’s hitting the road in January with his other band Mr. Bungle, heading to Latin America for a tour with Avenged Sevenfold. As for Faith No More — that band still remains inactive for now.
