BEST DECORATED UMBRELLA CONTEST – 7:30pm, Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard, Come show off your best decorated Mardi Gras umbrella for a chance to win a prize and lead the parade.

THE JUKEBOX BRASS BAND – 7:30pm, The Jukebox Brass Band will be getting down and cranking things up in the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel Courtyard.

CUTTING OF THE MOONPIE – 7:45pm, Enjoy a piece of the World’s Largest MoonPie in the Courtyard of the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel.

FAIRHOPE’S NEW YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION – 8:00pm-12:30am, Intersection of Church St. and Fairhope Ave, Fairhope. The City of Fairhope invites you to celebrate New Year’s Eve in downtown Fairhope on December 31, 2025, from 8:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Enjoy live music from ’80s rock band U.S. Band, along with family-friendly activities like face painting, balloon animals, and games. Ring in the New Year with a midnight ball drop and fireworks show, then explore special offers from downtown restaurants and businesses. This free event is open to all—bring your friends, family, and New Year’s spirit!

NOON YEAR AT THE EXPLOREUM – 9:30am-2pm, Exploreum Science Center. Celebrate the New Year a little early with a family-friendly countdown to noon, complete with a ball-pit explosion to kick off the New Year on Wednesday. Throughout the day, enjoy weather-inspired science demos, hands-on STEM activities and plenty of chances to learn how wild and wonderful meteorology can be. Festive costumes are encouraged. The event is FREE for Exploreum members and $12 (special event pricing) for non-members. There will also be a special feature, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the PCI Dome Theater. Advance tickets are required, as seating is limited.
