1776: THE MUSICAL- Thurs/Fri/Sat 7:30pm, Sun 2:30pm, (Jan 15-25), Chickasaw Civic Theatre, Chickasaw.January marks the start of America’s 250th year, and CCT will honor the occasion with its presentation of the musical 1776. The story follows the activities of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, and the other founding fathers as they struggle to create a new government for the infant United States during a sweltering July in Philadelphia. The music is rousing and the story funny, moving, and inspirational.  INFO HERE

This version of Jane Austen’s delightful, timeless tale of romance, society husband-hunting, and English country manners is based on the hit 1995 BBC miniseries. Matt & Lee Ann at the First King Cake Off

2026 KING CAKE-OFF – Fri 5pm-7:30pm, Mobile Convention Center, Downtown Mobile. Local bakeries, eateries, and grocery stores compete to see who has the tastiest King Cake and King Cake-inspired treat on the Gulf Coast. This family-friendly event features live music, local vendors, kids’ activities, specialty cocktails, King Cake tastings, and more! 6th Annual OWA ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL- Fri 2pm-8pm; Sat 10am-8pm; Sun 11am-4pm, Downtown OWA, OWA Parks & Resort, Foley.This free family-friendly festival features a variety of local artists, vendors, and small businesses showcasing their handmade goods. INFO HERE
