The trailer for the upcoming Travis Barker documentary Louder than Fear is out now.
The film follows Barker’s journey of recovery after surviving a plane crash in 2008 that killed four other people on board. Barker and his friend Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein were the only survivors. Goldstein died in 2009.
The trailer, which you can watch streaming on YouTube, features interviews with Barker and his blink-182 bandmates, Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge, as well as appearances by Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
“This is the story of the man behind the tattoos,” the doc’s description reads. “A tribute to those who keep going when the music almost stops.”
Louder than Fear will stream on Disney+ and Hulu starting Aug. 13. It previously premiered at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.
AS if that isn’t enough, then Barker dropped this news: a new blink-182 album is in the works.
Drummer Travis Barker confirmed the news in an interview with The New York Times’ Popcast podcast.
“I’m working on the blink album this year,” Barker says.
The most recent blink-182 album is 2023’s ONE MORE TIME…, which marked the return of vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge following a seven-year absence from the band. A deluxe edition was released in 2024.
Vocalist/bassist Mark Hoppus told People in 2025 that he planned to start writing new blink-182 material that summer.
