Fontaines D.C. release Dopamine Chamber!

Fontaines D.C. dropped their new album, Dopamine Chamber, Oct. 16. This album includes some single releases, such as: “Marianne”, “Tongue”, and “Where is Gone?”(feat. ROSALIA).

The album lyrics were largely written by Grian Chatten in a “very short, compressed writing trip” while travelling between Vienna and Venice while on tour. Decoy Studios and James Ford, long standing producer for the band, produced all of the instrumentation in the Suffolk studio.

The vocals were recorded in a home studio made of mattresses, comforters, and cushions.

Chatten sought to include Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalía on the album, favourably comparing her David Bowie and Björk, stating, “There’s a classical nature [to Rosalía’s voice], but there’s also something eerily sort of dystopian”. Chatten sent her the track “Where Is Gone?”: Rosalía returned her contributions in forty-eight hours, recording her verse while on the Lux Tour in the United States.
