In honor of our 40th anniversary and as a thank you for supporting his music, artist Joe P came back again for another free 92 ZEW show! The show was Wednesday November 13th, in the courtyard of The Blind Mule at 57 North Claiborne Street. Thanks to all who came out and saw the show and helped us celebrate with Joe P.
When the onset of the pandemic brought about the dissolution of the band heâd fronted since eighth grade, Joe P found himself in isolation with time to step out and experiment on his own. From the refuge of his New Jersey basement studio, he threw himself into writing, recording and producing his most personal material to date. Posting homegrown ideas to TikTok, Joe P watched as his raw acoustic videos drew millions of views and over 300K followers in just a few months. A deal with Neon Gold/Atlantic was quickly followed by the acclaimed release of Joe Pâs acclaimed debut EP, Emily Canât Sing, highlighted by such singles as âLeaves,â âFighting In the Car,â and âOff My Mind,â the latter of which is currently impacting at Triple A radio outlets nationwide. Joe P released viral fan favorite track âAll Day I Dream Aboutâ in August with a cinematic video, and the song proved Joeâs biggest first week streaming to date, including over 13k pre-saves. Joe P released his sophomore EP, French Blonde on Friday, October 7th.
Having spent much of the past year touring with such like-minded artists as Middle Kids and Joywave, Joe P returns to the road this fall with a North American tour, and he’s making Mobile one of his stops to perform his latest single “Violet” and other hits for free. We’ll see you for lunch and a free show at The Blind Mule at noon on Wednesday November 13th.
