On Monday (06.22.26) Iron Maiden’s concert in Paris experienced power loss.
This event caused over an hour delay for rock fans in La Defense Arena and caused a major cut in content due to strict Parisian venue regulations.
Bruce Dickinson and co were performing the Powerslave track 2 Minutes to Midnight when the power went down.
Not only were fans dealing with the delay, but Paris is amidst a heatwave, and with no air conditioning due to the power being down, many left before the band came back onstage.
The Greek Iron Maiden Fan Club shared the following account to its Facebook page:
“Hot news out of Paris…
At 2 Minutes to Midnight the power went out for over an hour… Too many people have left.
The band carried on from Rime of the Ancient Mariner without any connection to each other or the audience…
11:32 police did not allow encore with Aces High, Fear of the Dark and Wasted Years, all in one live that was filmed!!!
The heatwave damages .. (sic)”
These unfortunate concert goers are urging Iron Maiden to release the Run For Your Lives Tour Film as it was originally intended due to the iconic tracks they didn’t get to hear live in venue.
This concert was apart of the filming. They have always encouraged minimal use of cellphones and social media during their concerts, but exclusively for this one they made all GA ticket holders put their phones in Yondr Pouches(potable faraday bags) to prevent any filming.
It seems they have no future intention of doing the same filming in the future, which is why Fear of the Dark rockers’ fans are concerned.
