GULF COAST CHINESE LANTERN FESTIVAL- Thurs-Sun 5pm-10pm, Bellingrath Gardens, Theodore.The 2026 Gulf Coast Chinese Lantern Festival is an all new show filled with all new lanterns. As night falls, the Gardens glow with more than 40 towering, handcrafted light sculptures that transform the landscape into a vivid world of color and scale. MARKET IN THE PARK- Sat 7:30am-12noon (Apr 25- Jun 27), Cathedral Square, Downtown Mobile.Start your Saturday mornings at Market in the Park, where fresh, local, and handmade goods come together.   

AFRICATOWN BRIDGE CHALLENGE 5K and FUN RUN- Sat 7:30am-11am, 645 Shelby St, Mobile.View Historic Africatown, the Mobile River, Port of Mobile, Mobile-Tensaw River Delta, and the City of Mobile from 350-feet-high as you run or walk your way across the 7,291-foot-long bridge on the certified 5k course. There will also be a 1-mile course that takes participants from Tin Top Lane, over the Africatown Bridge and back. INFO HERE   

15th Annual CHILDREN’S CUP REGATTA- Sat 9am-7pm, Fairhope Yacht Club.This family-friendly event is open to the public and features sailboat racing on Mobile Bay, a silent auction, live music, dinner, and activities for all ages. Proceeds benefit Children’s of Alabama, supporting the more than 1,800 children from Mobile and Baldwin counties who receive care each year.  INFO HERE

OCEAN DAY at the ALABAMA AQUARIUM- Sat 10am-2pm, Alabama Aquarium, Dauphin Island Sea Lab.Celebrate World Ocean Day at the Alabama Aquarium! It’s a hands-on day all about reefs and the important role they play in our estuary and the Gulf. INFO HERE  

SENSORY DAY AT THE EXPLOREUM- Sat 9am-10am, Exploreum Science Center, Downtown Mobile. This time is designed to create a calmer, more supportive hands-on experience for guests with special needs and sensory sensitivities. DROP ANCHOR SONGFEST- Sun 2pm-6pm, Montrose Crescent, Mobile Bay.Join by boat, kayak, yacht, or dinghy at Montrose Crescent on Mobile Bay for the 2026 Drop Anchor Song Fest – a FREE live music concert! Playing On the Bay, To the Bay and For the Bay. The event is free, but it is raising funds for clean and vibrant coastal ecosystems!

SUNDAY:

FREE FIRST SUNDAY- Sun 1pm-5pm, History Museum of Mobile.Discover fascinating stories, interactive exhibits, and special experiences across all three museums — including architectural tours of the Phoenix Fire Museum during the event. Don’t miss the chance to meet the Oakleigh Belles at the History Museum for a touch of living history and Southern charm.
